The exhibit will be on display at the Katy Mills Mall in Katy, Texas, from Friday, October 27th to Sunday, October 29th to educate teens and their parents about a tragic consequence of underage drinking -- devastating motor vehicle crashes -- as well as the ongoing and critical need for victim support. Nationally in 2004, nearly 2,000 people were killed and countless others were injured in alcohol-related traffic crashes involving an underage drinking driver. In Texas in 2005, there were 125 fatal crashes involving an underage drinking driver. Nationwide, traffic crashes are the number one killer of teens, and nearly one-third of teen traffic deaths are alcohol-related.
